Cyborgs And Other Relationship Constructs
As far as I know (and I admittedly don’t know much – grins), all the relationship constructs in the upcoming Cyborg Unity series (the first story, Provoking Odium, will release in June) are Male/Female. In each story, a cyborg warrior (the title hints whose story it will be) meets his human or humanoid female.
There ARE many other relationship constructs in the cyborg world. I’m merely not focusing on them in this series.
I also don’t focus on them because buddies are writing Male/Male, Female/Female, Male/Male/Female, etc. Cyborg Romances and Alien Romances and it is fun and relaxing for us, when we hang out online, not to have to worry at all about conflicts or motives or any of those complications.
While I haven’t been writing these relationship constructs, please know they exist in the cyborg universe. (big hugs)

Throwback Thursday – Warlord Sky
Most of my heroes are warriors. The universe is at war during my stories. It makes sense that many beings would be fighting in that war (or, in the case of the cyborgs, manufactured to fight in that war).
Qulpa, the hero of Warlord Sky, is an exception. Yes, he is still a warrior, trained to fight. That’s critical for his survival. But his love is flying. He’s one of the best pilots the Chameles have…until he is wounded. Now, it is possible he will never fly again.

Cyborgs – The Next Generation
(grins) Yes, I AM a Star Trek fan. (looks innocent) How can you tell?
Anyhoo… many reading buddies are asking if or when I’ll tell the stories of the next generation of cyborgs, the offspring of cyborg warriors and their human/humanoid females.
I WILL be telling their stories. That series is planned to follow Cyborg Unity. (The first story in Cyborg Unity, Provoking Odium, releases in June.) Some plot points have to be set up first and the next generation cyborgs need a bit more experience before finding their genetic matches.

Cynthia Sax Weekly Update – March 6th
I’m still happily writing the first draft of Provoking Odium, the first standalone cyborg romance in the new Cyborg Unity series (releasing in June). I should be finished the first draft by Wednesday.
Then I will have two more drafts to complete before sending the story to my Awesome Editor. I should be on track for doing that by my April 1st deadline.
Writing is challenging for many of us during…well…everything. (waves at the world) My June release date should be solid but other writers might have difficulties making theirs. Please extend them some grace. We can only tell these stories once and we wish to tell them properly. You deserve the best stories possible from us!

Wars In Space
My cyborg romances and alien romances are set during times of war. The Humanoid Alliance is seeking to expand their empire, are taking over previously independent planets. These baddies fortunately suffered a setback when the cyborgs, their primary weapons of war, mass rebelled but they are quickly recovering from those losses.
You will see similarities between these space battles and battles here on Earth. War tactics and techniques evolve. If something works well in a previous conflict, we, humans, tend to use it again.
The wars in space are no different. They are based on past wars on Earth, what worked and what didn’t work.
The spaceship battles, for example, are based on navy ship battles. There are differences, of course, because hey, they’re fighting in space and in the future and different participants are involved, but some of the tactics work just as well in space as they do on water.
One thing remains constant, however – war is terrible. It is needed, unfortunately, but there are never any true winners in war. Harsh prices are paid on both sides of the conflict.
I wish for peace, both in space and here on Earth.

Throwback Thursday – Hers To Command
Hers To Command is the only M/M/F story written thus far in the cyborg series. There are many different relationship constructs within the cyborg factions but the stories I tend to focus on are the M/F couples. (shrugs) That’s just the way it has happened.
I had no idea Ace and Thrasher shared a special bond when I first met them but that soon became obvious. They hadn’t yet truly acted on their relationship. I was wondering why when Carys, the Commander, appeared.
SHE was the being they were waiting for. The older human female shifts their entire universe. And they kind of like that. (grins)
Three Battered Hearts. One Perfect Love
Ace and Thrasher share a special bond. They’ve never acknowledged that connection and have never fully acted on it. The Humanoid Alliance kill cyborg males like them, deeming the warriors to be defective. Now that Ace and Thrasher have escaped, they don’t trust the cyborg council and their brethren to react any differently. Physical love is too risky for them to consider.
Until they meet her.
Carys is the Commander of a Rebel Battle Station. She has dedicated her lifespan to seeking vengeance against the Humanoid Alliance and the cyborgs who killed her daughter. On her battle station, she makes the rules, and if she wants to kiss, touch, and pleasure two mysterious warriors, she will. Nothing, not even enemy warships and a mass cyborg rebellion, can stop her.

The universe is a tad bit stressful at the moment. (semi-hysterical laughter) I’ve been doing two major things to reduce my stress and I thought maybe sharing these two things might help you a tiny bit.
Taking Action
I’m a fixer. I always want to fix situations. So taking action for me is key.
Yesterday, for example, I wrote a letter to the management folks at the post office, telling them our new mail delivery person (a young guy just starting out in his career) was doing a wonderful job.
What does this have to do with climate change, the situation I’m currently stressing about?
Nothing.
But this small act of kindness will hopefully make the mail delivery person’s life a bit better (and his job more secure) and it was something I could do. Easily. Quickly. It’s done. I made a tiny difference in the universe and that makes me feel good.
Being a writer, letter writing is one of my talents. I write letters, emails, messages to politicians, to companies, to volunteers. And sometimes these notes influence them. That’s powerful.
I’m also a hugger and hugging often reduces stress. I hug physically AND virtually. Both works!
I also do other things – like donating to charities ($1 donated to a food bank provides 1 meal to 1 person) or picking up garbage at the park or simply telling someone they’re doing a great job.
Making An Escape
When stress builds, I also escape… in a book I’m writing or a book I’m reading, in a TV show, in a movie, in the company of friends or/and family, in a tree-filled park. I might take a social media vacation, avoid the news, retreat into happier places for a while.
I rebuild my emotional strength and THEN I can return to the stressful situation. I can work on solutions. I can listen. I can make small differences.
There are a gazillion other ways to reduce stress. Take some time and discover what works for you, my friend. (big hugs)

Seizing Power
