I Saved A Life Today
It was the life of a pill bug, which is a much smaller version of the miljoonasuuts from Dominance And Dissent. The pill bug was inside the house and would have been stepped on and smushed. I relocated him outside the house, in the garden, and he scurried away happily.
Saving that life might not seem like a big deal to us.
But it meant the world to that little pill bug. (smiles)
Your small kindnesses might not seem like a big deal to you either.
But I suspect they are greatly appreciated by others.

Raw Desires
His human female is attempting to kill him.
This cyborg finds that adorable.

Taytu isn’t jumping anywhere. She has one mission—kill every cyborg in existence.
The huge, handsome male traveling to meet with her is her first target. His rough hands, firm lips, and sparkling, energy-infused eyes won’t save him from her vengeance. She has trained vigorously for this moment, and she won’t fail at her assigned task.

Muse Food – Moose
I grew up around moose so it likely isn’t a surprise I write stories set on alien planets. Moose are alien looking creatures. (grins)
They’re HUGE. That vending machine in the background of this photo of a preserved moose in Wawa, Ontario, Canada? It is full size.
If a car hits a moose, the car is totalled and the driver is likely dead. Shotgun (riding in the passenger seat) is a serious role up north. The number one task of every shotgun person is looking for moose.
Moose are also the top of the food chain, even though they eat vegetation. Nothing messes with a full grown healthy moose and that includes bears.
Moose don’t know fear. They’re armed with a solid set of antlers, long legs and deadly hooves. AND they know how to use them.
I find moose…inspiring. And I have a healthy respect for them.

Over Torque
The safest place in the universe is in a cyborg’s arms.
Ceridwen has arranged transport for her and her cat on a freighter. They hope to find a new start and sanctuary on a distant planet.
That dream is blasted to bits when the Humanoid Alliance attacks the ship.
Torque, an E Model cyborg, is searching for wreckage to blow up. He and his friend locate an escape pod attached to the remnants of a freighter.

Throwback Thursday – North Bound
North Bound features one of my all time favorite secondary characters – Steve, the male-eating plant ruler of Balazoid Minor.
Steve respects Myrina the Magnificent, the heroine of the story. He eventually grows to respect North, the cyborg hero, though he never truly likes him. (grins) The two of them are too similar for that.
This is an enemies-to-lovers romance with plenty of action and explosions and, of course, hot passion.
North Bound

North, the second-in-command of a cyborg crew, has two priorities—he has to explore and collect data on Balazoid Minor, a small planet in their sector, and he must bring his three-being team back to the ship alive and fully functional.

As the weather in my corner of the universe grows colder (shivers), my reading tends to skew toward romances set on hot planets. If you’re the same way, Dominance And Dissent might be the cyborg romance for it.
The story is set on a hot, dry planet. The planet has bustling marketplaces and settlements.
Dissent finds his genetic match in one of those marketplaces. While he’s seeking to free a creature from his cage, he hears a cry for help and he must answer it.
That decision will change his lifespan forever.

To earn the love of his curvy human, this cyborg will have to set her free.

It is summer in my corner of the world. I’ve put in a vegetable garden this year and every time I tend to it, I think of Steve, the male-eating plant ruler of Balazoid Minor. He appears in North Bound and has a love-hate relationship with North, the cyborg hero.
Myrina the Magnificent has a love-hate relationship with North also. She tries to capture him. Multiple times.
This is a true enemies-to-lovers romance. (grins) And it is such a fun story.

Haus Of Gaga – The Meat Dress
No visit to the Haus of Gaga: Las Vegas exhibition (found in the Park MGM Casino in Vegas) is complete without a viewing of Lady Gaga’s infamous Meat Dress (and shoes and hat), the Franc Fernandez ensemble she wore to 2010 Video Music Awards.
This dress has since been cured into meat jerky and painted red because, of course, preserved meat is normally brown.

Haus Of Gaga – Footwear
I don’t talk much about footwear in my stories. The cyborgs and many of the females tend to wear plain, practical black boots.
But there is, of course, a variety of footwear available to them.
The Dear Wonderful Hubby took some photos of the footwear at the Haus of Gaga: Las Vegas exhibition, found in the Park MGM Casino in Vegas. I thought you might find some of them inspiring.
These Alexander Mcqueen Butterfly Boots were my favorites. I could picture a villainess wearing footwear crafted from beautiful creatures. Maybe on an alien planet, these creatures would be alive, trapped forever, forced to be an evil being’s fashion accessory.
These Alexander McQueen Armadillo snakeskin ankle boots have the same villainess feel to them. Footwear fashioned from the skin of perhaps a scaly enemy would signal how fierce and bad that character is.
These Noritaka Tatehana silver rhinestone ‘Lady Mary’ platforms scream space. (grins) They’re sparkly and silver and would be the perfect footwear for a stylish heroine situated on a ship with that classic gray décor.
These Noritaka Tatehana ‘Lady Pointe’ platform ballet slippers look like footwear Princess Nancy would don. They will give her some much-needed extra height, allowing Truth, her cyborg, to kiss her more easily, and they are sparkly and delicate-looking.

Haus Of Gaga – Warrior Outfits
The Haus of Gaga: Las Vegas exhibition (found in the Park MGM Casino in Vegas) is SO inspiring. The Dear Wonderful Hubby snapped a gazillion photos. I hope to use some of these shapes and pieces of these designs for garments in future stories.

My stars. Look at this! This Giorgio Armani outfit is my favorite.
It resembles a wire shell for a xenomorph from one of the Alien movies. There’s a black crystal-embellished catsuit underneath a wire alien bodysuit with a mask and gloves
I could see this outfit on a space gladiator. The wire ‘cage’ over the fighter’s head would stop blades from piecing her face. The wing-like shoulders would also deflect projectiles and blades. Her vulnerable torso is protected.
Leather is always a staple material for any warrior. This Versace outfit has gold-plated studs to prevent enemies from grabbing our heroine. The big shoulders increase protection in that at risk area. They would likely stop a blade. The arms are covered. The belt can double as a whip-like weapon. The bottoms are shorts, not an impractical skirt.
This Zaldy outfit is for warriors who don’t want to hide from their enemies. The mirror ball material would reflect light and might blind or confuse her foes. The cone bra clearly can be used to mount guns on. The huge shoulders protect the back of our warrior’s neck.
