Throwback Thursday – Seeking Vector

By Cynthia Sax on March 5, 2026

Folks say secrets always come out.

I don’t believe this is true. I think some secrets go to the grave with us. We merely don’t know that has happened because…well…no one knows about them. They are kept secret.

(grins)

This is NOT the case with Vector’s secret, however. Someone HAS uncovered it.

And this cyborg captain will do ANYTHING to stop this unknown entity from sharing it.

Seeking Vector

A cyborg with a secret… A female seeking the truth…

Vector, the C Model captain of the Freedom, is a cyborg many warriors wish to emulate. He fights fiercely, leads with honor, has earned the respect and loyalty of his crew. But no being, not even a cyborg, is perfect. Since arriving at the Homeland, Vector has been hiding a dark truth about his past. If his secret is exposed, he could lose everything – his position, his ship, and his life.

Kasia excels at uncovering secrets. Half a lifespan ago, her curiosity placed her on the Humanoid Alliance’s kill list. Now she has accessed information the cyborg council would prefer remain hidden. Their warriors are hunting her and won’t rest until she’s dead.

When Vector arrives on her battle station, all grim determination, gray skin, and bulging muscles, Kasia knows he has been sent to kill her. That doesn’t stop her from wanting the dominant cyborg. She senses the savage nature under the male’s controlled exterior, sees the mysteries in his brilliant blue eyes, craves the roughness of his touch. She will risk all she has to experience his embrace.

Kasia braved the cyborg council’s ire for a reason. If she doesn’t convince Vector to act on the information she uncovered, the enemy could destroy his home planet and render every cyborg in the universe immobile.

Can a doubting C Model warrior learn to trust and to love before it is too late?

Gardening – Diversify Your Garden

By Cynthia Sax on March 4, 2026

The weather in my part of the universe last year was…strange. And the vegetables I expected to do well didn’t. The vegetables I often planted for fun, however, did well.

I was happy that I planted a wide variety of vegetables.

The weather in 2026, I suspect, will be as strange. But likely in a different way.

So a big focus of my garden plans this year is diversity. I will plant just about everything and hopefully something does well.

(smiles)

Gardening is an adventure. Be adventurous in your plant selection!

Do Something Random

By Cynthia Sax on March 3, 2026

We, humans, are creatures of habits. We tend to do the same things at the same times in the same ways. This is comfortable. This is easy.

This is…boring.

And boring is bad for our brains. Our brains need exercise and new gives this important part of us a great and fun workout.

So do something random today.

Listen to a new-to-you radio station for a song or two. Pick up a book from a library’s display table. Take your guidance system’s most fuel economic route home. Go into the vegetable section of your grocery store and buy one of whatever vegetable is located in the fifth bin to the right of the romaine lettuce.

Embrace the chaos of random comfortably. (smiles) Your brain will love you for this!

Muse Food – Respect For The Land

By Cynthia Sax on March 2, 2026

I read a quote recently that said you can determine who are the invaders and who are the locals by how they treat the land.

Invaders are careless with the land. They destroy it. Forever

Locals are careful with the land. They try their best not to harm it permanently.

Are the beings in the world you’re writing or reading invaders or locals? How do they treat the land around them?

Cynthia Sax Weekly Update – March 1

By Cynthia Sax on March 1, 2026

I am still on a writing break, spending time with the Dear Wonderful Hubby and doing some dreaming of future installments of the Super Secret Project. Oh, and sleeping. I slept for 12 full hours last night and it was glorious!

Have a wonderful week, my friends! (big hugs) If you can, have an early night and catch up on your sleep also. Dream some amazing dreams. Snuggle under the covers. Take it easy and rest. You need this!

Cyborg Sizzle Escape Omnibus

Half Man. Half Machine. All Theirs.
* * *
While these cyborg warriors battle to escape their cruel manufacturers, they find the human females they are destined to love for all eternity.
This omnibus includes the first seven stories in the Cyborg Sizzle series: Releasing Rage, Breathing Vapor, Being Green, Crash And Burn, Defying Death, Chasing Mayhem and Jumping Barrel.
All of these Cyborg Romances are set in a dark, gritty, often violent universe.

Releasing Rage

Rage, the Humanoid Alliance’s most primitive cyborg, has two goals–kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that’s all he’s been programmed to experience.
Until he meets Joan.

Breathing Vapor

Vapor is the most advanced cyborg the Humanoid Alliance has ever developed. He’s a finely honed weapon, a warrior without parallel, half man and half machine. No lock can contain him. No being can stop him. Whatever he wants, he takes.
He wants Mira Breazeal, the Designer’s daughter.

Being Green

Green, a cyborg warrior, cares for one being—his plant Windy. When Windy becomes sick, he’ll do anything to heal her, even venture across the universe to visit a worlds-renowned plant doctor.
He doesn’t expect to find love.

Crash And Burn

Crash was manufactured to be one of the best warriors in the universe. The cyborg has spent many human lifespans fighting the enemy. But, unlike his battle-loving brethren, he doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life.
Then he meets Safyre, an infuriating human female, and he considers breaking his vow.

Defying Death

Cyborgs don’t show emotion. Death learned that lesson early in his long lifespan. To survive, he hides his fierce passions behind a stoic wall. He calls no warrior friend. He never admits to caring for any being.
Even the human female he’s destined to love.

Chasing Mayhem

Mayhem has spent his lengthy lifespan obeying the Humanoid Alliance’s rules. Finally free from their cruel control, the cyborg warrior plans to cause chaos. He infiltrates a remote settlement, provokes the savage locals until they want him dead, and allows himself to be captured by the sexiest little Retriever he has ever laid his mechanically-enhanced eyes on.

Jumping Barrel

Barrel requires an Expert for the Tau Cetian orphans. He’s looking for a female who is willing to commit to a lifespan-long role, who is comfortable with moving off planet, and who, preferably, has the ability to speak the offsprings’ first language.
His female, however, is looking for a hero.
