The holiday season is a great time to reach out to people. It is kind of…expected.
And some of the people I like to reach out to are neighbors.
If we’re ever in trouble (knock on wood this never happens), neighbors are physically close to us and, if we have a good relationship with them, they might help us.
And it is nice being in a community where people know and help each other.
If you have a spare packet of hot chocolate and an extra mug, consider giving that as a gift to a (tolerant!) neighbor. Or shovel the snow off their walk. Or give them a homemade card. Or simply wish them a happy holiday season.
Make their holidays and yours a bit brighter.
