The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I passed by a table in a restaurant. It was crowded, so crowded that extra chairs had been borrowed from the tables around it.
But in the middle of that table, in a prime spot, there was an empty place setting and a spare chair. It was immaculate. It was untouched.
It had a story.
Both the Dear Wonderful Hubby and I knew that in our hearts. And a respectful silence fell over us as we moved past it.
Little details like an empty place setting can change the mood of a scene. Pay attention to those details. Use them to tell a better story.
