One of the questions I receive quite often is…
Why do I use female instead of woman to describe heroines in my cyborg romances and my alien romances?
The reason I do this is because woman is a very human-centric word.
Here on Earth, we only call humans who identify as females women. We don’t call, for example, female cats women or female butterflies women.
The cyborg universe is inhabited by a variety of other species. Many of the warriors’ genetic matches aren’t human. Heck, CYBORGS aren’t human. They wouldn’t use a human-specific term like woman.
Female is more humanoid and other species friendly. (smiles)

This cyborg will be the warrior his female requires.
Cyborgs are manufactured to fight.
