Since today is Boxing Day, I thought I’d talk about boxes and other containers.
We, humans, like to store things and I don’t think this will change in space. (grins) That means we need containers to facilitate this activity.
There are practical working containers like cardboard boxes or these plastic crates the Dear Wonderful Hubby and I spotted in Costa Rica. They are meant for rough handling and everyday usage and they do that job well.
There are practical works of art like this 18th Century bottle from Turkey the Dear Wonderful Hubby spotted in the Dallas Museum of Art. This beautiful container is meant to be used for many, many generations.
And, of course, we also like to give gifts in containers. We spotted these larger-than-me brightly wrapped boxes in Antigua.
There are SO many different types of containers – purses, medic packs, storage boxes, etc. It would be unusual to read a story that didn’t mention at least one.
