The media tends to focus on romance novels during the month of February (due to Valentine’s Day).
Sometimes the focus isn’t favorable.
That happens…because some members of the media sadly don’t believe in the forces most romance novels celebrate – love, hope and optimism.
I can’t imagine living that way. (shakes head)
Love. Stars, is there a better feeling in the world than loving someone or something and knowing they love us back?
When one of my buddies returns home, her much beloved older doggy rushes to the door, tail wagging, barking with joy, super happy to see her, and all the darkness in her day temporarily fades away. That’s powerful ‘magic.’
Hope and optimism are equally powerful. They often pull us through the challenging times. The dark moment we’re currently experiencing can be overcome. Happiness is within our reach. What we are doing now will make a difference in the future.
Love, hope and optimism deserve to be celebrated and romance novels do this. I’m so happy and proud to be both a romance novel writer and reader and I’m honored to know you, another member of our wonderful romance novel community. (big hugs)
