Veronica Scott asked some of us about the appeal of dragon shifters.
Here’s a snippet from my answer…
“My very first published story featured a dragon-shifter hero. I love them THAT much. Dragons are big and bad and primitive, at the top of the food chain. They have hoarding tendencies, which means they’re very protective of the things and beings they consider to be theirs. I find that really sexy. Dragon-shifter stories also have built-in tension, especially in a futuristic sci-fi worlds, as dragon shifters are often in conflict with more evolved, modern beings.”
