I’m a huge fan of cyborg romances. I’m writing my cyborg series because there aren’t enough stories featuring these sexy heroes.
I love hearing that other writing buddies are considering writing cyborg romances and I am happy to do anything I can to help with the science part of these stories.
Your characters, plots, bad guys, worlds should be unique. I hope to write stories for all of my cyborgs. What Romanceland really needs and what I’m excited to read are the characters that only you can craft. If you’re a cyborg reader like I am, you know there are a zillion possibilities. Write one of these.
However, if you need help with the ‘science’ of cyborgs, please reach out to me.
Some of the ‘science’ is standard. For some reason, many cyborgs have gray skin. They usually have their model number tattooed high on one of their cheeks. The model numbers usually start with a letter and then are followed with numbers. They tend to be warriors. They tend to be created by humans. They tend to self heal.
But how they self heal varies. My cyborgs have nanocybotics ( the explanation for this is here – http://tasteofcyn.com/2015/07/24/why-cyborgs-live-forever-nanocybotics/ ). If you want your cyborgs to have nanocybotics also, you have my permission to use that term.
My stories were the first (I think – I could be wrong about this) with cyborg babies. If you want to use that science ( the explanation for this is here – http://tasteofcyn.com/2015/08/07/releasing-rage-and-baby-cyborgs/ ), you have my permission. (grins) We need more cyborg babies.
Those babies will have to grow, mature. Nanocybotics allow my cyborgs to do this (http://tasteofcyn.com/2015/07/24/why-cyborgs-live-forever-nanocybotics/ ). Again, that information is free for you to use.
I’ll try to fill out my cyborg FAQ page (http://cynthiasax.com/cyborg-sizzle/ ) more as the series progresses but if I’m missing anything that you need for the story you’re writing, send me an email or a Facebook message. I’ll happily explain my thinking.
Crash And Burn
Crash was manufactured to be one of the best warriors in the universe. The cyborg has spent many human lifespans fighting the enemy. But, unlike his battle-loving brethren, he doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life.
Then he meets Safyre, an infuriating human female, and he considers breaking his vow.
Safyre will do anything to save her friend, the being she loves like a sister. She’ll ravish a huge hunky cyborg, kiss his best friend, and invoke scorching hot desires the male never realized he could feel. Dark soulful eyes, a quick wit, and a tempestuous passion won’t divert her from her mission.
Love, and a planet-destroying weapon, however, might stop her permanently.
