Drift Would And The Fates
Many of the beings in the sector neighboring the cyborg’s sector believe in the Fates. The Fates are three deities who help guide beings. They help beings find their fated mates and to fulfill their destinies.
In both Strike Zone and Drift Would, there’s a mysterious being who might or might not be one of the Fates. She is unlike any being the cyborgs have ever encountered.
And she has helped them connected with their genetic matches. I suspect she also helped them with their missions (their part of the greater mission).
Is she a Fate? We don’t know.
But I do know this isn’t the last we’ve seen of her. (grins)

The Day Before Release Day

Today, I am doing my usual day before release day thing.
I’m worrying that I didn’t upload the files properly to booksellers. (I HAVE uploaded them properly. I’ve verified this about one hundred times.)

Drift Would And Connected Stories
Drift Would can definitely be read on its own.
But I know many reading buddies like to reread stories to ‘get in the mood’ for a new release.
The best story to reread is, of course, Strike Zone, the 1st core story in the Dauntless Cyborgs series. The events in Strike Zone lead to the events in Drift Would.
Intrepid and his Valkyrie appear in Drift Would so you might also wish to reread Intrepid Encounter.

Drift Would And The Continued Search For Genetic Matches
Cyborgs share almost everything. They’ve been relaying conversations and overheard communications with humans and humanoids to their millions of brethren.
Because those brethren are hoping to find their genetic matches, the beings they were manufactured to be with, protect, love. And cyborgs can recognize those ‘fated mates’ by their voices.

Muse Food – Light-Reflecting Spiders And Other Alien Inspiration
I spotted this little spider in the backyard garden.
You can’t truly see it in this photo but she reflects light. Her body is like a tiny green-tinted mirror. She is so, so beautiful and I suspect she uses that beauty to disorient her prey.
There are ‘alien’ creatures all around us, especially hidden behind leaves and on branches. If you are seeking inspiration or ideas, look down or up or to the side. (smiles)
