Woot! Today is the release day for Medieval Beast Shifters!
This is a collection of three short(er) stories under C.S. Sax. They feature beast shifter heroes and are set in a medieval fantasy world. They are light and fun and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!
Medieval Beast Shifters
Three shapeshifting warriors—a unicorn, a phoenix and a griffin—court their human maidens while battling ancient prophecies and powerful enemies.
They are dominant and determined, masters of their medieval kingdoms and beings of legend. These magical knights of old are destined to love their ladies until the end of time. They will do anything for their fated mates, will battle for the right to hold them, touch them, make them theirs.
The Unicorn And The Virgin (The Unicorn Prince) – ‘Beware the virgin. Chastity brings death.’ That is the prophecy Reiter, the prince of the unicorns, has spent his life evading. Unbeknownst to him, his mate, the daring and brave Princess Lizbeth, is more innocent than she seems.
Return Of The Phoenix (The Phoenix) – Phoenix’s child bride is all grown up and demanding to be released from her wedding vows. Lord Phoenix has other plans for his fire sorceress mate. He hopes to be reborn in her flames.
Griffin’s Vow (The Griffin) – Lord Griffin tried to woo his mate using the principles of courtly love. She accepted his passion but not his proposals. Now, the rough, gruff warrior seeks to win her his way…while warding off a powerful and deadly rival.

Cynthia Sax Weekly Update – March 14th
I’m still working on the first draft of Baring Grudge (releasing in August). I love Grudge. I love his female. I love his and her relationship with the Cyborg Retrieval Team. I can’t wait to write Cadet’s story. This series is so fraggin’ exciting to me.
Medieval Beast Shifters, published under C.S. Sax, is releasing on Tuesday. This is a collection of three short (er) stories. Each one features a different beast shifter – a unicorn, a phoenix and a griffin – and these steamy stories are all connected.
I’ll also continue to write Baring Grudge and…well…that’s about it on the writing front. (grins) A writer’s life isn’t very exciting, especially when we’re deep in a story.
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I WILL be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year but in a quieter manner. Our section of the universe is in extreme lockdown so we will be staying at home, wearing our green and I’ll likely be cranking up The Unicorn by The Irish Rovers, a song my Grandpa would often play for his gazillion grandkids on St. Patrick’s Day.

Sexy Times With Shifters
In my stories, love interests love EVERYTHING about the other being (or beings). Joan, the heroine of Releasing Rage, loves Rage’s human side and his machine side. Dita, the heroine of Dark Thoughts, loves Kralj’s controlled side and his monster mode.
Taja, one of the heroines in Medieval Dragon Shifters (released under C.S. Sax), loves Grun’s human side and his dragon side. The dragon has needs. She happily satisfies them.
Fun times in beast mode doesn’t happen in all of my shifter stories (it doesn’t happen in any of the stories in Medieval Beast Shifters) but I do believe readers who enjoy steamy romances about shifters should expect scenes like that.
To ignore the animal is to ignore a huge piece of the shifter. And they ARE shifters. They are magical beings, a different species, similar to how humanoid aliens are different species. They wouldn’t appreciate being viewed as animals. (grins) I wouldn’t suggest anyone call them that.

Medieval Dragon And Beast Shifters And Fantasy Worlds
The first story I published under Cynthia Sax was a steamy tale about a dragon shifter hero and a warrior maiden set in a medieval fantasy world. This is a world I revisit again and again when I want to escape, when I want to do some fun for-me writing.
(It is like the cyborg world in that way. – grins)
I’ve been collecting some of my favorite stories set in this world, expanding them a bit, and putting them in collections under C.S. Sax. There is a collection of Medieval Beast Shifter stories releasing on the 16th.
These stories can all be read on their own. They are light and extremely sexy lunch hour reads.
But they are also connected. They belong in the same world. Reiter, the Unicorn Prince in the Medieval Beast Shifters omnibus, first appears in a story in Medieval Dragon Shifters. He is the prince whose army surrounds Lizbeth’s castle.
The next collection I plan to publish under C.S. Sax is a collection of demon heroes stories set in a modern fantasy world. Those stories will ALSO have links to the medieval fantasy world. (grins) Yes, I’m having WAY too much fun with this.

Wayback Wednesday: Night Rides
Reading buddies on the Changeling Yahoo Loop are quite familiar with Reiter, the Unicorn Prince hero of Night Rides. He is full of… ummm… personality, yes, that’s the word, and he has excess confidence because he IS a unicorn prince.
Unicorns have always fascinated me. As a child, I was crazy about horses and unicorns were even more exotic. I was intrigued that their greatest weakness was virgins, untouched women. This weakness is, of course, perfectly suited for an erotic romance story.
What if a unicorn shifter fell in love with a virgin?
This was the story starting idea for Night Rides.
