Throwback Thursday – North Bound
The Ruler of Balazoid Minor is Steve, a sentient plant, and yes, he truly IS the Ruler. Nothing happens on his planet without his authorization. No one visits the planet without his authorization.
He doesn’t like males. AT ALL. He has eaten every male humanoid and every male human who has ever set a booted foot on his land.
Which means Balazoid Minor is also a female dominated planet.
North and his all male, all cyborg team doesn’t process this.
They will soon find this out.

Cyborgs, while they were under the Humanoid Alliance’s control, weren’t allowed to show love.

There will be no pre-orders for Moonbeam as they are older stories. Plus I lost my pre-order ability for a year at a certain large bookseller for cancelling the Grid Locked pre-orders.

Throwback Thursday – Doc’s Orders
Doc’s Orders deals with a newcomer-caused pandemic on a small alien planet.
It was written LONG before COVID-19 happened. But that timing wasn’t due to any Kralj-of-Dark-Thoughts-like abilities on my part.

Pandemics occur. And they are often prompted by things like increasing populations and shifting climates.
And newcomers to a population.
The history of human travel is also, unfortunately, the history of pandemics. And this won’t change in space.
None of those other pandemics had a cyborg medic like Doc, however.
Doc’s Orders
She wants both sides of her cyborg—the medic AND the beast.
A fully functional cyborg is balanced. His machine half and his organic half work together to produce the perfect warrior.
Doc isn’t fully functional.
The G Model operates at the two extremes. When his machine is in complete control, he’s the logic-driven medic, saving lifespans. Once his organics take charge, he becomes the savage beast…and beings die.
Both sides of Doc want to be the first to claim his female.
Allinen is one of the few beings in her small settlement who wasn’t born with a fated mate. Determined to belong somewhere, she has crafted a plan to leave the planet.
That plan doesn’t involve a huge stormy-eyed male who alternates between cool seduction and out-of-control ravishment. Doc isn’t her fated mate. Allinen knows that. But his dual nature and forbidden embraces tempt her to forget forever and indulge in more immediate delights.

The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I are enjoying the summer. He is playing a lot of pickleball. I’m doing a lot of gardening. The plants are growing. The bumblebees are buzzing. I’m thinking of future stories I’d love to write and hoping the world will allow those stories to be published.

It is summer, which is always a slow time for publishers. And the publishing environment seems to change every dang day.
So I’m enjoying the warmer weather in my part of the universe. I’m relaxing, gardening, spending time with the Dear Wonderful Hubby, dreaming of new stories, and refilling the emotional well.
And that’s a great thing!
