Log file information:
I run secure sites with scanning, virus checks, malware identification, etc. As part of that set up, Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access our Services. When you use our Services, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
Clear gifs/web beacons information:
When you use any services, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to anonymously track the online usage patterns of our Users. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. The information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the content we provide you.
Device identifiers:
When you access Cynthia Sax or Taste Of Cyn by or through a mobile device (including but not limited to smart-phones or tablets), we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers,” such as a universally unique identifier (“UUID”). Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by CynthiaSax.com or TasteOfCyn.com. A device identifier may convey information to us about how you browse and use our site. A device identifier may remain persistently on your device, to help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through our site.

Taking Vengeance And Waging War In The Trees
In Taking Vengeance, Astrid, our heroine, strings tripwires between trees. This is one of her many defenses on the planet. She’s hoping if she’s attacked, the enemy will run between the trees, set off the explosives and blow themselves up. She’d eliminate the enemy AND be warned she was in danger.
In almost every alien invasion movie, we see the hero or heroine running into the woods to hide from the invaders. The thinking is it would be more difficult for the enemy to find him/her. The enemy couldn’t spot the hero/heroine easily from their ships in the sky or see him/her through the trees on the ground.
The reality is the forest is a dangerous place to be in wartime, even if the enemy is human. The enemy knows that is where we tend to hide and they usually have countermeasures in place.
In Underfire: The Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5254612/ ), the WWII veteran and photographer tells viewers how the Germans would deliberately hit the top of trees with shells. This natural shrapnel would rain down on soldiers. The small fragments “would go right through you.” The soldiers would be shredded instantly.
That’s one very simple yet effective way to flush opponents out from forests. Aliens would likely have more sophisticated methods (and likely also have lifeform scanners).

My cyborgs were manufactured in a vat and matured without parents. All they’ve done is train and kill and survive. They have never known love (other than the caring they have for their brethren).
When they DO experience love, it’s a wondrous thing. They’re willing to kill and to die to capture and keep that feeling.”

Cyborgs, Prolongers And Reality In Fiction
If you’ve read my cyborg series, you know about prolongers, injections designed to keep warriors conscious and alive when injured, allowing them to return to base camp where medic supplies are available.
Like many futuristic things in my stories, prolongers aren’t 100% fictional.
A scientist buddy mentioned something like that was being developed and I incorporated it into the series.

Why Is Balvan From Dark Strength Green?
Balvan, the hero from Dark Strength, is a modified humanoid. He’s part Geminorum Giant, part human and is enhanced to be bigger, stronger, tougher than both species.
Geminorum Giants are, from our human perspectives, aliens – GREEN aliens. Aliens can be any color. They can be blue like Ruby Dixon’s Ice Planet Barbarians or purple like Eve Langlais’ Alien Abduction heroes or a variety of other colors.
Often, however, we envision aliens as being green. The rumors are ‘little green men’ have been abducting humans for centuries. That’s the default color for aliens in fiction and movies.
Green is also the color I associate with giants, thanks to the pea-pushing Jolly Green Giant. The alliteration makes me happy in a silly sort of way.
But there’s a biological reason for Geminorum Giants being green. Their planet is lush with green-colored vegetation. Many of these plants are as huge as Balvan is. Yes, on Carinae E, he sticks out, but on the planet his kind originated from, he would be camouflaged, could hide from predators and from his enemies. His kind has evolved to be part of their environment.

Dark Strength
