I spotted this little spider in the backyard garden.

You can’t truly see it in this photo but she reflects light. Her body is like a tiny green-tinted mirror. She is so, so beautiful and I suspect she uses that beauty to disorient her prey.

There are ‘alien’ creatures all around us, especially hidden behind leaves and on branches. If you are seeking inspiration or ideas, look down or up or to the side. (smiles)

Muse Food – Unexpected Places

The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I spotted this HUGE spider in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

It surprised us. Not only because of its size. But also because we didn’t expect to see a spider like that on the roof of a parked car in the city center.

If we were trekking around a public garden or by the sea or by trees or vegetation, sure, we might see a spider. But what was it doing on the top of a car in a very urban setting?

Even the normal can be thrilling when it is found in an unexpected place. That’s an easy way to add excitement to a story.
