Throwback Thursday – Dark Thoughts
Kralj, the hero of Dark Thoughts, first appeared in another story (Chasing Mayhem), as a very minor character.
He captured my attention and my heart and I knew I had to write his story.
He’s a self-professed monster. Created as a weapon in a laboratory, his creators almost immediately lost control of him and he was able to easily free himself and others. That’s how powerful Kralj is.
And how dangerous.
Dita looks human. But she will be the first being to admit she’s a monster also.
She recognizes who…what Kralj is. She knows provoking him will likely end in her death.
That doesn’t stop her.

Can love redeem a monster?
The Refuge is home to some of the most violent beings in the universe. Kralj, its leader, reigns over the remote outpost with terrifying ease, ruthlessly squashing any rumors of rebellion, killing anyone who breaks his rules. I definitely won’t be releasing any new stories in it this year. I don’t know about the future. But I hope to, some day, come back to it.

A proud cyborg medic meets his human match.

Throwback Thursday – Strike Zone
At the beginning of Strike Zone, there’s a masquerade (masqueradelike – it IS a futuristic story set on a different planet) scene.
I love the idea of masquerades. They’re parties. Everyone is masked. Beings can be whoever they want to be for the night. There’s mystery.
And there are a lot of opportunities for mistaken identity.
Which is exactly what happens in Strike Zone.
