Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Return
I originally thought Ariq, the hero of Warlord’s Return, would fall in love with a very different being, a medic who practiced in the Refuge, the settlement featured in the Dark Thoughts/Refuge series.
Ariq wasn’t having any of that. (grins) His attention was immediately snagged by Xareni.
Because…of course, it was. SHE IS AWESOME. Frag. A mini dragon has adopted her. That’s how amazing she is.
Warlord’s Return
Ariq is a barbarian warrior seeking a war.
He locates that battle when he meets Xareni.

Ariq is one of Chamele’s top warriors. A genetic predisposition to fighting, paired with intensive training and experience, has honed the scarred male into an effective killing machine. He loves war, can’t live without combat.
The Succession Wars, however, have finally ended and the Chamele sector is now at peace. Seeking excitement and purpose, the barbarian warrior accompanies his Second to the Refuge, an outlaw settlement on Carinae E. He hopes to locate the battle he’s been craving there.
Ariq finds that conflict and more when he meets his fated mate.
Xareni owes the Ruler of the Refuge a favor. That’s the only reason she has returned to the settlement. She doesn’t like crowds or structures or a certain barbarian warrior who insists on following her everywhere. It doesn’t matter that there’s a connection between them, that he makes her burn with desire, that he looks at her with heat in his dark eyes.
She’s a monster and monsters don’t need anyone.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Mercy
When I started writing The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series, I thought it would end after the third brother found romantic happiness. I thought they would defeat Tolui, the big baddie…permanently. He was slated to die.
I’m SO glad he wasn’t killed because he’s one of my favorite heroes I’ve ever written. He has valid reasons for doing what he’s doing. And he has his own sense of honor.
I love him. And I suspect you might love him also. (smiles)
Other Chameles view him as the enemy.

Tolui is a Warlord in search of a planet to rule. He has been leading his fellow clones in a stealth battle, fighting for both control of the Chamele sector and the right to exist. The brave warriors he commands warrant respect, and they deserve the best.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord Reunited

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Bounty
Khan, the alien Warlord hero of Warlord’s Bounty, is the character that inspired the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series. He is named, of course, after perhaps the most famous warlord in history – Genghis Khan. The Chamele language is a nod to Mongolian also.
Zeta, the human bounty hunter heroine, is a worthy match for a warlord. (grins)
Warlord’s Bounty
Wanted: One Barbarian Warrior.
The bigger the bounty, the more dangerous the target.
Khan, a Chamele Warlord, has a huge bounty on his head. His enemy wants him captured and is offering any being in the universe an outrageous number of credits to accomplish that.
Khan wants to be captured, but only if the being apprehending him is a tiny, brown-eyed female with wickedly sharp daggers and an even sharper tongue. His passion for the feisty human can’t be inhibited by restraints. He’ll allow her to subdue him…in a variety of enticing ways.

I LOVE broken heroes – both reading stories featuring them and writing stories featuring them.
And Ghost is one of the most broken heroes I’ve ever encountered. He makes Rage from Releasing Rage look well adjusted. (grins)

I think of Warlord Sky as my bot story.

Throwback Thursday – Hers To Command
Usually cyborgs only have one genetic match, one being they can produce offspring with, can share their nanocybotics with, are destined to love. This match could be male, female or other.
Sometimes a cyborg can have two or more genetic matches. This is rare but it does happen.
Ace and Thrasher, two male cyborg warriors, are each other’s genetic match. And Carys, their human female, is their genetic match also.
This is the only MMF romance in this world…thus far. (smiles) All the other stories are MF romances.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Cure
It is apt that this week’s Throwback Thursday pick is Dark Cure as Claiming Cure is my next release.
Cure, the cyborg, doesn’t appear in Dark Cure.
I chose the title, Dark Cure, before I met him.
And I never thought Cure, the cyborg, would have his own story.
But he DOES have his own story.
And now the two titles are super confusing. Oops! Sorry about that!
Dark Cure is not directly connected to Claiming Cure.

Throwback Thursday – Chasing Mayhem
There’s a chaotic being in almost every group.
(If you don’t think your group has one, you’re likely the chaotic being. – grins).
Mayhem is the chaos causer in his group. He knows this. He embraces his wild personality. And he has claimed a name reflecting that – Mayhem.
Imee, the heroine of Chasing Mayhem, is a bit more…stable. A bit. She’s a bounty hunter of sorts. There has also been some chaos in her life.
