Throwback Thursday – Dominance And Dissent
Cyborgs, after enduring many human lifespans of having to stifle their emotions, have a LOT of love to give. They lavish love on their females, their offspring, each other and other beings. Some, like Green, adore plants.
Dissent, the hero of Dominance And Dissent, adores angry little killer creatures called miljoonasuuts. They look like huge pill bugs. And they eat everything and everyone they encounter.
While Dissent is in the midst of saving one, he encounters another lifeform in need of assistance—Greer, the female destined to be his.
Dominance And Dissent
To earn the love of his curvy human, this cyborg will have to set her free.

Dissent has one primary mission—to find his female and protect her.

Throwback Thursday – Doc’s Orders
Doc’s Orders is a pandemic-themed cyborg romance I wrote long before the COVID-19 pandemic happened here on Earth. At that time, my scientist buddies had been warning me we were overdue for a pandemic…and they were unfortunately right.
Other influences on this story were articles about how we’re bringing our bacteria into space with us, how scientists work hard to determine whether lifeforms on Mars, for example, were always on that planet or we had merely transported them there during previous missions.
And, of course, spreading disease is ALWAYS a factor when two groups of beings meet. This is why there are laws around contacting isolated and remote peoples. They don’t have our immunities and…well…we don’t have theirs either.
But don’t worry! Doc’s Orders IS a romance. It has the expected romance ending. You should get that happy glow at the end of this story. And you will find out more about Cadet and the Rebel Cyborgs.
Doc’s Orders
She wants both sides of her cyborg—the medic AND the beast.
A fully functional cyborg is balanced. His machine half and his organic half work together to produce the perfect warrior.
Doc isn’t fully functional.
The G Model operates at the two extremes. When his machine is in complete control, he’s the logic-driven medic, saving lifespans. Once his organics take charge, he becomes the savage beast…and beings die.
Both sides of Doc want to be the first to claim his female.
Allinen is one of the few beings in her small settlement who wasn’t born with a fated mate. Determined to belong somewhere, she has crafted a plan to leave the planet.
That plan doesn’t involve a huge stormy-eyed male who alternates between cool seduction and out-of-control ravishment. Doc isn’t her fated mate. Allinen knows that. But his dual nature and forbidden embraces tempt her to forget forever and indulge in more immediate delights.
Neither side of Doc views their relationship as being temporary. Her conflicted cyborg is prepared to battle her family, her planet and death itself to keep her.

Throwback Thursday – Choosing Chuckles
If I had to choose one of my cyborg couples (or more) to represent the grumpy one is sweet for the sunshine one trope, it would be Chuckles and Bettina from Choosing Chuckles.
Chuckles is permanently damaged. Medics and engineers have tried to repair his leg but nothing has worked. He is often in pain and that makes him very grumpy. He also uses his grumpiness to cover up his caring, generous, giving nature. Chuckles gains great pleasure from taking care of beings.
Bettina aka Bait aka Baby yearns to have someone take care of her. She is financially responsible for others and takes great risks, holding a dangerous role to provide for them. Bettina has a happy, optimistic personality and she teases Chuckles, which he secretly enjoys.
I love the two of them so very much. (smiles)
Choosing Chuckles
A Cynical Cyborg Meets A Bad, Bad Female.
Chuckles hates all humans. In the past, humans betrayed him. That treachery caused permanent damage to his muscular form, resulting in a lifespan of pain.
When the primitive D Model cyborg answers a distress call sent by a pink-and-blue haired, sparkly human female, he knows it’s a trap. He still has to respond to her fake cry for help. She belongs to him, is the one being genetically fabricated for him. But he plans to be her captor, not her captive.
Bettina, aka Bait, works with a team of females, snaring sexual predators in space, seizing their ships and transporting them to primitive planets. As soon as she speaks with Chuckles, she knows he’s not like the others. He has honor, is a being worthy of respect, of caring.
But she can’t let him go. She has to trap him. His dominance thrills her. His deep voice evokes desires she’d never experienced in the past. She’ll risk it all, breaking every rule for one wild encounter with the male she calls Sir.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Arsenal
Dark Arsenal is a free short story, a thank you to regular readers. It assumes you’ve read some of the Dark Thoughts/Refuge series and some of the Cyborg Sizzle (first) series.
The heroine is Vicuska, the human rebel agent we first met in Dark Fire. The hero is Arsenal, the cyborg warrior we first met in Knowing Zip. Both of these warriors believe they will die on their mission.
They never projected they would find love.
A cyborg warrior and a Rebel female’s first mission together might be their last.
Arsenal considers himself to be a disposable cyborg. He drifts from assignment to assignment, forming no connections to anything or anyone. When the cyborg council requires a warrior for a high-risk mission, Arsenal volunteers. He believes no one will miss him if he dies.
He doesn’t realize he’s one female’s fantasy.
The moment Vicuska glimpses Arsenal’s image, she knows he’s the male she wants to spend her last moments in the universe caressing. The Rebel female craves the cyborg’s grim-lipped kisses, desires the touch of his hands, hears his deep voice in her dreams.
Their mission will end in explosions and death. That is certain if they fail or if they succeed. Whether or not they’ll find love during their dangerous assignment is the unknown.

Throwback Thursday – The Cyborg’s Secret Baby
The Cyborg’s Secret Baby is a nod to the very real life secret baby romances that occurred during WWI, WWII and other early before-communications-improved wars. Couples (or more) would have some fun (grins) right before one or more of them left for war and that fun would have cute little consequences.
I, of course, respect and admire the warriors who left home to fight for their countries. I have as much respect and admiration, however, for the (usually) women who raised their children on their own, not knowing if their warriors would return. They’re heroines and I was thinking of them when I wrote this story.
The Cyborg’s Secret Baby
A fierce cyborg warrior and his curvy human female share a no-longer-so-little secret.
Stealth, a K Model cyborg, knows his passion for Zebrina, the commander’s human daughter, is forbidden, yet he can’t resist the curvy female. He craves her touch, cherishes her sounds of pleasure, would do anything to keep her safe.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord Unarmed
Warlord Unarmed is one of my sweeter novel-length stories and is a favorite Cynthia Sax book for some of my reading buddies. There’s violence in the story and there are, of course, some extremely steamy scenes but the relationship between Murad and Gale is gentle.
Murad is the most tech savvy Warlord and he prefers to think before he acts. Gale has been hurt in the past and is super cautious. Together, they are magical. They fit.

Throwback Thursday – Taking Vengeance
Seizing Power, the fifth and final core story in the Rebel Cyborgs series (releasing in February), will feature Power, the self-appointed leader of the Cyborg Council.
Vengeance is the C Model representative on the Cyborg Council. He will definitely make a brief appearance in Seizing Power. Vengeance’s story is Taking Vengeance. This is a true enemies-to-lovers romance. Astrid, his female, tries to blow Vengeance up…multiple times.

When a savage cyborg arrogantly puts his hard, sexy body within her reach, she does the only thing a female can do—she peppers his muscular physique with projectiles.
The more passionately they fight, the stronger their attraction becomes. Neither of them will relent on their missions, yet they can’t keep their hands off each other. Their battle will either end in love to last an eternity or in death.

The Battle Against Earth Steve
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I spent most of yesterday trying to reduce the spread of a super aggressive vine over our back and front yard. I love vines but this particular one is strangling every bit of vegetation in its path. It is even killing the dandelions and I didn’t think anything could do that.
We jokingly call this vine Steve, naming it after Steve, the all-powerful sentient plant on Balazoid Minor (he appears in North Bound). Thankfully Earth Steve isn’t as bloodthirsty or as arrogant as the original. He IS as dominant, however. (grins)
Will we win the battle against Earth Steve? No. Not a chance. He is everywhere. We’re merely trying to give the other plants a chance to live.
