Gardening – 3 Weeks Until Transplanting Outside
The tomato, marigold and pepper plants are growing happily in the basement grow station.
I grew extra plants because…squirrels. (shakes head and grins) They love to dig up newly transplanted plants. For no real reason except it entertains them. I have spare plants in case I lose a few.
Transplanting won’t happen for another 3 weeks. That is the expected last frost date in our corner of the universe.
I’ve also started beans and squash and am waiting for them to germinate.
The grow station is packed. I find that super exciting. (beams)

Neither Strike nor Kesser realizes the dangers facing them are far greater than they imagine. Their enemies are converging, and one failed mission could doom the entire universe.

Garden Planning for 2024
I like to plan at a very high level. I know roughly what I will do but not the details.
I have my cyborg romances planned for the next two and a half years (they will center around the crew of the Dauntless, Intrepid’s ship), for example. I know their heroes (Choice, Cure, Strike, Drift and Grid) but I have no idea about anything else. (sheepish grin)
I also have some rough ideas about what I want to do with the vegetable garden in 2024. I’ll plant tomatoes in the bed and bell peppers and herbs in containers.
AND the big addition for 2024 will be squash. I plan to plant zucchini (courgettes) and butternut squash! It will be an adventure. I’ve never ever grown them. I’m super excited about this.
