The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I watched this goat calmly walk down a sheer wall of rock. We’ve seen similar goats descend perfectly intact brick walls.
Those feats seem impossible…to us, humans. Yet they occur.
There is an explanation for why goats need very little to stand on (their hoofs are the main reason).
Writers have to provide that explanation, preferably in as few words as possible, or readers won’t be happy with our stories. Everything has to be plausible or has be explained. Even the magic in fantasy novels is based on ‘logical’ systems.
That is part of the fun. (grins)

A cyborg devoted to duty…and to her.

While attending a party, Kesser, the daughter of her planet’s leader, witnesses the abduction of her best friend and her best friend’s mate.

When a curvy human female with big brown eyes requests his help with a rescue, he doesn’t hesitate to say yes. She’s his genetic match, the one being he was manufactured to protect.
She’s also traveling to the next planet he has to search. He plans to claim his female while he fulfills his responsibilities to his kind.
Neither Strike nor Kesser realizes the dangers facing them are far greater than they imagine. Their enemies are converging, and one failed mission could doom the entire universe.

Muse Food – Goats And Being Somewhere Unexpected
I LOVE goats.
And one of the many things I love about them is…
They go where they want. Physics and gravity be d*mned.
I’ve seen them in trees, walking along a super narrow branch.
I’ve seen them standing on the side of a completely vertical wall, balancing on the tiniest edge of stone.
This goat is tramping along a steep rocky hill.
This goat is preparing to jump off a ledge (that is way higher than it appears in the photo).
When I’m working on a story, I try to be like a goat and take my characters somewhere unexpected, somewhere they likely shouldn’t be, somewhere they might not survive.
