Throwback Thursday – Releasing Rage
Releasing Rage was the first cyborg romance I had ever written.
I wrote it for myself.
Two of my favorite writers were taking a break from cyborg romance. When I told the Dear Wonderful Hubby I didn’t have any new cyborg romances to read, he suggested I write my own. (grins) He’s awesome like that (and in many other ways).
Most cyborg romances at that time were set AFTER the cyborgs had liberated themselves from their manufacturers. I wanted to know WHY they would rebel. I suspected that reason would be very dark.
And I was correct. Releasing Rage is set in a very dark world. If you have issues with violence of ANY kind, this is likely not the story for you.
Half Man. Half Machine. All Hers.
Rage, the Humanoid Alliance’s most primitive cyborg, has two goals—kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that’s all he’s been programmed to experience.
Until he meets Joan.
Joan, the battle station’s first female engineer, has one goal—survive long enough to help the big sexy cyborg plotting to kill her. Rage might not trust her but he wants her. She sees the passion in his eyes, the caring in his battle-worn hands, the gruff emotion in his voice.

Throwback Thursday – Testing Truth
I think of Testing Truth as my fairytale cyborg romance.
Princess Nancy, the heroine, is royalty. Truth, the cyborg hero, is…well…he causes chaos wherever he goes. There’s a prince (Princess Nancy’s brother) locked in a space tower…I mean a space prison. The royal entourage, Princess Nancy’s family of the heart, is the support system any heroine would love to have.
There are laughs and adventure and I think you’ll have a good time reading this story.
Testing Truth
A fun-loving cyborg gets serious about love.

Truth lives each moment as though it were his last. The cyborg warrior rushes into danger, teases beings he shouldn’t provoke, accepts every call of adventure he encounters.
When a prissy little human princess floats into the Rebel structure Truth is occupying, seeking a mercenary to assist her and her unusual entourage, he volunteers to be her warrior. She claims their assignment is dangerous, warns him he might not survive the task.
That is exactly the type of fun he has been seeking.
Princess Nanette of the planet Royaume must rescue her estranged brother from an enemy prison ship. That is her duty, and she has been trained to always place the needs of her planet and her subjects before her own. Nancy doesn’t have the freedom to indulge her passions for a certain dark-haired, gray-skinned cyborg. Not permanently and not publicly.
But she is unable to resist the warrior. Truth, with his laughing eyes, smiling lips, and rough hands, tempts her as no one else ever has. He could be her one fleeting act of rebellion before she’s matched with the powerful ruler her planet requires.
If they survive their current mission.
Their love is doomed. Their lifespans are at risk. This cyborg and his princess will need the help of every ally they have if they wish to see another sunrise.

Throwback Thursday – North Bound
North Bound features one of my all time favorite secondary characters – Steve, the male-eating plant. Steve is sentient, extremely aggressive and considers himself to be the supreme ruler of his planet. He allows Myrina the Magnificent, the heroine, and her sisters of the heart to live there.
Steve isn’t as accommodating with North, the cyborg warrior second-in-command on the Reckless. These two dominant beings clash…violently. Myrina the Magnificent has her hands full dealing with them. (grins)

A mission-focused cyborg battles a captivating and dramatic distraction.

Throwback Thursday – Dominance And Dissent
Cyborgs, after enduring many human lifespans of having to stifle their emotions, have a LOT of love to give. They lavish love on their females, their offspring, each other and other beings. Some, like Green, adore plants.
Dissent, the hero of Dominance And Dissent, adores angry little killer creatures called miljoonasuuts. They look like huge pill bugs. And they eat everything and everyone they encounter.
While Dissent is in the midst of saving one, he encounters another lifeform in need of assistance—Greer, the female destined to be his.

Throwback Thursday – Doc’s Orders
Doc’s Orders is a pandemic-themed cyborg romance I wrote long before the COVID-19 pandemic happened here on Earth. At that time, my scientist buddies had been warning me we were overdue for a pandemic…and they were unfortunately right.
Other influences on this story were articles about how we’re bringing our bacteria into space with us, how scientists work hard to determine whether lifeforms on Mars, for example, were always on that planet or we had merely transported them there during previous missions.
And, of course, spreading disease is ALWAYS a factor when two groups of beings meet. This is why there are laws around contacting isolated and remote peoples. They don’t have our immunities and…well…we don’t have theirs either.
But don’t worry! Doc’s Orders IS a romance. It has the expected romance ending. You should get that happy glow at the end of this story. And you will find out more about Cadet and the Rebel Cyborgs.
Doc’s Orders
She wants both sides of her cyborg—the medic AND the beast.
A fully functional cyborg is balanced. His machine half and his organic half work together to produce the perfect warrior.
Doc isn’t fully functional.
The G Model operates at the two extremes. When his machine is in complete control, he’s the logic-driven medic, saving lifespans. Once his organics take charge, he becomes the savage beast…and beings die.
Both sides of Doc want to be the first to claim his female.
Allinen is one of the few beings in her small settlement who wasn’t born with a fated mate. Determined to belong somewhere, she has crafted a plan to leave the planet.
That plan doesn’t involve a huge stormy-eyed male who alternates between cool seduction and out-of-control ravishment. Doc isn’t her fated mate. Allinen knows that. But his dual nature and forbidden embraces tempt her to forget forever and indulge in more immediate delights.
Neither side of Doc views their relationship as being temporary. Her conflicted cyborg is prepared to battle her family, her planet and death itself to keep her.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Return
The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series and the Refuge (Dark Thoughts) series are very much entwined. The Chamele Barbarian series starts as the Chameles’ return from the Refuge. In Warlord’s Return, the final book in the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series, the Chameles return to the Refuge.
Both Ariq and Xareni are warriors. The Succession Wars have ended. Ariq is looking for a new war and he finds one with Xareni. (grins) The chemistry between them sizzles. They battle. They have sexy times. They share their secrets.

Warlord’s Return
Ariq is a barbarian warrior seeking a war.

Throwback Thursday – Choosing Chuckles
If I had to choose one of my cyborg couples (or more) to represent the grumpy one is sweet for the sunshine one trope, it would be Chuckles and Bettina from Choosing Chuckles.
Chuckles is permanently damaged. Medics and engineers have tried to repair his leg but nothing has worked. He is often in pain and that makes him very grumpy. He also uses his grumpiness to cover up his caring, generous, giving nature. Chuckles gains great pleasure from taking care of beings.
Bettina aka Bait aka Baby yearns to have someone take care of her. She is financially responsible for others and takes great risks, holding a dangerous role to provide for them. Bettina has a happy, optimistic personality and she teases Chuckles, which he secretly enjoys.
I love the two of them so very much. (smiles)
Choosing Chuckles
A Cynical Cyborg Meets A Bad, Bad Female.
Chuckles hates all humans. In the past, humans betrayed him. That treachery caused permanent damage to his muscular form, resulting in a lifespan of pain.
When the primitive D Model cyborg answers a distress call sent by a pink-and-blue haired, sparkly human female, he knows it’s a trap. He still has to respond to her fake cry for help. She belongs to him, is the one being genetically fabricated for him. But he plans to be her captor, not her captive.
Bettina, aka Bait, works with a team of females, snaring sexual predators in space, seizing their ships and transporting them to primitive planets. As soon as she speaks with Chuckles, she knows he’s not like the others. He has honor, is a being worthy of respect, of caring.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Thoughts
If you’re in a Halloween-type of mood as I am and you’re looking for a Halloween-themed romance to read, Dark Thoughts would be my pick of all my stories.
Kralj is a modified humanoid and unique but he DOES have a vampire vibe to him. He drinks blood (well…he eats his enemies and blood IS part of that). He can read most minds. He believes he’s a monster.
His human heroine, Dita, believes she’s a monster also. The pint-sized assassin isn’t scared of anyone, including Kralj. She is the sunshine to his darkness and very much his equal.

Kralj, its leader, reigns over the remote outpost with terrifying ease, ruthlessly squashing any rumors of rebellion, killing anyone who breaks his rules. Primitive, deadly, powerful, he’s a monster, scarred both on his face and his soul. He has never met a being he couldn’t control.

Dita has one mission—to kill the three targets claiming sanctuary within the Refuge. Or so she claims. For the first time in his long lifespan, Kralj isn’t certain of another being’s intentions. The tiny assassin is immune to his powers, her thoughts unreadable. He can’t predict her movements, can’t control her, can’t stop wanting her.
Dita is rare, as unique as he is, and, to keep the residents of the Refuge safe, Kralj will have to kill her. But first, he’ll touch her, taste her, show her how passionate the beast inside him can be.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Mercy
The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series was originally supposed to be only 3 books long. It would tell the stories of the 3 Warlord brothers. In the final story, they would defeat the big baddie – Tolui – and there would be peace in the Chamele sector (or it would be as peaceful as a sector filled with warriors could be).
The problem was…Tolui wouldn’t die. The d*mn warrior stubbornly and cleverly escaped death again and again. And he showed mercy to his perceived foes during the confrontations. His cause was just.
He was a hero disguised as a villain and he deserved love, a future, a chance at a happy ever after.
I HAD to tell his story and I’m happy I did. It was a story worth sharing.
Other Chameles view him as the enemy.
She sees the warrior hero he never believed he could be.

Tolui is a Warlord in search of a planet to rule. He has been leading his fellow clones in a stealth battle, fighting for both control of the Chamele sector and the right to exist. The brave warriors he commands warrant respect, and they deserve the best.
That best isn’t the barren, dangerous terrain on Chamele 4. When Tolui crashes on that planet’s surface, he’s determined to leave it as soon as possible. The tiny human female rescuing him might be as beautiful and as wild as the land she inhabits, but her flowing words, trusting gaze, and enthralling submission won’t stop him from rejoining the war.
After many solar cycles of living alone, Lea is overjoyed when a tall, scarred, muscular warrior falls from the sky. Her savage stranger is strong and severe, and he makes her feel safe, an emotion she hasn’t experienced in a long, long time.
He also insists they must part. Before they do, she’ll show him the splendor of her home, and she’ll enjoy his big form, collecting passionate moments she can revisit when she’s solitary once more.
Every additional moment Lea and Tolui spend together increases the chance they’ll both die. Lea is being chased by female-hating fiends. Tolui is being hunted by the best bounty hunters in the universe. War will soon arrive on their threshold, and the blood spilled might be their own.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Arsenal
Dark Arsenal is a free short story, a thank you to regular readers. It assumes you’ve read some of the Dark Thoughts/Refuge series and some of the Cyborg Sizzle (first) series.
The heroine is Vicuska, the human rebel agent we first met in Dark Fire. The hero is Arsenal, the cyborg warrior we first met in Knowing Zip. Both of these warriors believe they will die on their mission.
They never projected they would find love.
A cyborg warrior and a Rebel female’s first mission together might be their last.
Arsenal considers himself to be a disposable cyborg. He drifts from assignment to assignment, forming no connections to anything or anyone. When the cyborg council requires a warrior for a high-risk mission, Arsenal volunteers. He believes no one will miss him if he dies.
He doesn’t realize he’s one female’s fantasy.
The moment Vicuska glimpses Arsenal’s image, she knows he’s the male she wants to spend her last moments in the universe caressing. The Rebel female craves the cyborg’s grim-lipped kisses, desires the touch of his hands, hears his deep voice in her dreams.
Their mission will end in explosions and death. That is certain if they fail or if they succeed. Whether or not they’ll find love during their dangerous assignment is the unknown.

Dark Arsenal is a short companion story in the Cyborg Sizzle series and is meant to be read after Taking Vengeance.
