Throwback Thursday – Hers To Command
Hers To Command is the only M/M/F story written thus far in the cyborg series. There are many different relationship constructs within the cyborg factions but the stories I tend to focus on are the M/F couples. (shrugs) That’s just the way it has happened.
I had no idea Ace and Thrasher shared a special bond when I first met them but that soon became obvious. They hadn’t yet truly acted on their relationship. I was wondering why when Carys, the Commander, appeared.
SHE was the being they were waiting for. The older human female shifts their entire universe. And they kind of like that. (grins)
Three Battered Hearts. One Perfect Love
Ace and Thrasher share a special bond. They’ve never acknowledged that connection and have never fully acted on it. The Humanoid Alliance kill cyborg males like them, deeming the warriors to be defective. Now that Ace and Thrasher have escaped, they don’t trust the cyborg council and their brethren to react any differently. Physical love is too risky for them to consider.

I view Dark Cure as a bridge story between the Refuge (Dark Thoughts) series and the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series. Oghul, the hero is a Chamele and he reports to Khan, one of his sector’s Warlords.

Throwback Thursday – Chasing Mayhem
Imee, the kick a$$ heroine of Chasing Mayhem, was named after a beloved reading buddy. That’s what happens when you reach out to me, you will likely be featured in a future story. (grins)
Mayhem, the cyborg hero, chose his name because causing mayhem or being in the midst of it makes him extremely happy. He is pure chaos, as indicated by his wild hair.
Chasing Mayhem is also the first story to mention Kralj, the all knowing, all powerful ruler of the Refuge. Kralj’s story is Dark Thoughts and it is NOT a romance for those who are squeamish. He literally EATS his enemies.

I LOVE dragons. (grins) I know that doesn’t surprise you. The first published Cynthia Sax story was a short dragon shifter romance.

Throwback Thursday – Defying Death
Death, the hero of Defying Death, will do ANYTHING for one moment of happiness, one chance at experiencing love, companionship, caring.
That touched me when I first wrote his story. It resonates with me even more now, after two years of being in a pandemic, often under lockdown, separated from some of the people I love most in this universe (like my Awesome Mom).
Tifara, the heroine, wants to understand what is impacting her, why she feels this tremendous attraction toward Death, the big, tough, stern warrior male who is her genetic match. Her expertise is viruses so, of course, she perceives their out-of-this-universe chemistry as a virus.
The discoveries in Defying Death are KEY to many future events in the cyborg world. Tifara is mentioned in Seizing Power, for example.
Defying Death
He’ll risk it all for one moment of happiness.
Cyborgs don’t show emotion. Death learned that lesson early in his long lifespan. To survive, he hides his fierce passions behind a stoic wall. He calls no warrior friend. He never admits to caring for any being.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Strength
Most of the characters I write about are complex. They have different sides, different layers to their personalities.
Balvan, the huge green gatekeeper hero of Dark Strength, is no exception. He delights in crushing his enemies’ skulls with his big boots yet is super gentle when tending to the small creatures he rescues. Some beings believe him to be a monster yet he protects the residents of the Refuge and the beings he loves.

Throwback Thursday – Crash And Burn
Crash And Burn is a three-tissue read so ensure you’re in the mood for a good cry (that’s me every day lately – grins) when you read it.
This was the toughest story I’ve ever written but it had to be told because it impacts all cyborgs everywhere. The actions in Crash And Burn ripple throughout the universe.
Crash was manufactured to be one of the best warriors in the universe. The cyborg has spent many human lifespans fighting the enemy. But, unlike his battle-loving brethren, he doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Flight
Orol, the hero of Dark Flight, is the only winged hero I’ve written about…thus far. A certain winged Modified Humanoid who appeared in B Free might someday receive his own story.
Winged heroes mean fun times in the sky. (grins) Orol also sports talons, which hints at how very dangerous he is. He is exactly the type of male, Rhea, his heroine, needs.

Breathing Vapor is story two in the cyborg saga but, timewise, it occurs over the same duration as Releasing Rage, the first story in the series.
The two stories, when read one after another, show the range of the cyborg experience. Rage is an older model, has seen many human lifespans of battle. Vapor is a newer model, hasn’t seen any battle outside the brutal training rings.
Mira, his human heroine, reveals there IS resistance within the Humanoid Alliance. Not everyone who is perceived as being loyal is truly loyal…as Vapor will soon uncover.

Dark Thoughts is my bust-a-reading-rut Romance. If you want a hero who is unlike any other you’ve read, Kralj, the all-knowing, all-powerful Ruler of the Refuge, is your male.
