In Strike Zone, only one cyborg – Strike – was sent to investigate the mysteriously pulsing sound.
Power and the rest of the cyborg council didn’t have any reason to believe the cyborg sector and/or everyone inside that sector were in danger. They certainly didn’t believe the Humanoid Alliance, their enemies, had a presence in the neighboring sector.
At the end of Strike Zone, they process the Humanoid Alliance likely has a presence in the neighboring sector. The enemy is close, too close. The pulsing sound could be caused by a weapon. And their enemy could be in control of that weapon.
The cyborgs and everyone they love could be in danger.
Power decides to double the team sent to investigate from one cyborg to two cyborgs.

Drift Would And G Models
Drift, the cyborg hero of Drift Would (releasing in July), is a G Model.
He has gray hair, gray eyes, and black hair. He is larger and much more muscular than a human male but he isn’t as large as a C Model.
His processors are also more refined and his fine motor skills are improved. That gives Drift an edge with flying.
He is one of the best pilots in the universe.
And he’ll need all that skill to succeed at his assigned mission.

Drift Would And Changing Appearances
Roshini, the human heroine of Drift Would (releasing in July), is a spy. She changes identities and appearances like some people change clothes.
One moment, she has black hair, orange skin, and a shapeless form. The next moment, she has blonde hair, pale skin and an attention-drawing chest. In yet another moment, she has brown hair, brown skin and a flat chest.
What does she naturally look like? She has been changing her appearance so long she isn’t certain. (grins)

Drift Would And Drifting
Drift is the cyborg hero in Drift Would, the second core story in the Dauntless Cyborgs series (releasing in July). He’s a pilot and he chose Drift as his preferred name for a reason.
Drifting is, according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “the act or activity of steering an automobile so that it makes a controlled skid sideways through a turn with the front wheels pointed in a direction opposite to that of the turn.”
Spaceships don’t have wheels but drifting with a spaceship resembles drifting with a car. It is a sideways slide while turning and it requires finesse.
Drift definitely has finesse. (grins)

Strike Zone, Missions, And Hope For The Future
One of the (many) things I love about the cyborgs is their great hope for the future.
They’ve had a tough past. Now, that they are free, they have hope. Especially now that they know they might have genetic matches and the possibility of creating offspring.
And every mission increases the likelihood they’ll find those genetic matches. During missions, they interact with different beings and visit new-to-them planets. One of those beings might be the one they’re destined to love. (smiles)

Strike Zone And Stories To Re-Read
Strike Zone, the first core story in the Dauntless Cyborgs series, is releasing on Tuesday.
It is designed to be read on its own but I know some reading buddies enjoy re-reading previous cyborg stories before a new story releases.
The key story to re-read is, clearly, Intrepid Encounter. Intrepid is the captain of the Dauntless. His Valkyrie female is on board. It would be awesome to reacquaint ourselves with their romance.
Intrepid Encounter also contains Argot and his female’s relationship as a secondary romance. Both of them remain on the Dauntless.
Other than Intrepid Encounter…hmmm… well, Power makes a brief appearance. Reading Seizing Power might be helpful.
But Intrepid Encounter is definitely the main story to possibly re-read. (grins)

While attending a party, Kesser, the daughter of her planet’s leader, witnesses the abduction of her best friend and her best friend’s mate.
She’s determined to rescue them. Preferably without fracturing the fragile peace agreement her mom has crafted with the abductors’ planet.
