Eating is a huge part of our lives. We need to eat (preferably every day) to stay alive.
Deciding what to eat can become a chore. It can become repetitive. The food might no longer excite us.
How the Dear Wonderful Hubby and I combat this is
We try to eat with the seasons.
We prepare meals based on what grocery stores are discounting, which is usually, especially fruit and vegetable-wise, what is being harvested around that time.
During tomato seasons, for example, tomatoes are plentiful. The grocery stores are slashing prices to sell more of them.
And we craft meals around these tomatoes.

Is it strawberry season? Make a yummy strawberry dessert.
Is it green bean season? Fry up some green beans with some garlic and onions and serve it as a side dish.
Eat with the seasons. Use them as inspiration.
