Raw Desires And Do Stories Ever Truly End
VERY mild spoiler alert for Raw Desires!
At the end of Raw Desires, Raw, Taytu and Strive decide to visit Grin and Mohini on their new home planet.
Some reading buddies are calling this a cliffhanger because Raw and Taytu don’t know what is happening with Grin and Mohini and why their friends want them to visit.
I don’t really see this as a cliffhanger, especially as readers who have read Grin And Bare Him, the previous story, know exactly what is happening on Grin and Mohini’s new home planet. We know why Grin thinks those activities would interest Raw.
And I also believe stories don’t truly ever end. The characters aren’t frozen in time. They continue to live their lives. Things happen.
In the cyborg universe, the Humanoid Alliance is always planning something. The baddies remain out there, doing bad things.
The couple (or more) find their romantic happy ever after but their stories don’t ever truly end.

Muse Food – AI Sketchers
Why do robots and other manufactured entities often resemble humans?
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas this year, the Dear Wonderful Hubby and I, for example, spotted this sketching robot manufactured by Xorbis.
People sat for the robot and the robot sketched them. It was very good at capturing its subject’s features and expressions.
And it had a VERY human-looking face.
I asked one of the designers why it had a human-looking face and he said it made people more comfortable.
We, humans, like being around entities who look like us.
I suspect that won’t change in the future.

Cynthia Sax Weekly Update – February 26th
The big news this past week was, of course, the release of Raw Desires. (tackle hugs) Thank you all so much for the wonderful feedback on this story. I’m extremely grateful for all of you.
I can’t WAIT for you to read Strive For Forever, the fourth story in the Cyborg Unity series (releasing in July).
The writing of the first draft will be put on hold this week, however, as I am taking the next 7 days off writing-wise.

Raw Desires – Are Character Beliefs My Beliefs?
Some readers believe that the beliefs held by characters are truly the writer’s beliefs.
I’ve written so many different characters that I HOPE you realize that isn’t true for me. (grins) I don’t believe, for example, that we should literally eat our enemies. That belief belongs 100% to Kralj from Dark Thoughts.
And I don’t believe in forgiving everyone as Taytu’s Mom from Raw Desires does.
I’m quite vengeful and unrepentant about that. (laughs) When anyone harms the Dear Wonderful Hubby, I want to burn down the entire world.
But I know people who try to forgive everyone.
Awesome Mom-In-Law is like that. She forgives people and then she forgets those people. She has moved on with her life while I continue to plot badness.
Forgiving people exist. Yep, that shocks me too! (grins)

Throwback Thursday – Dark Flight
I receive MANY requests for a follow up story to Dark Flight. These requests all mention three characters who haven’t yet received their own stories. (grins) If you’ve read Dark Flight and the rest of the series, you know the characters I’m referring to.
I DO plan to write their stories. I think I’ll write the Next Gen Cyborgs first and then another Modified Humanoid/Refuge-set set of stories.
Anyhoo… Orol, the hero of Dark Flight, is a winged hero. He looks like an angel. But he certainly doesn’t act like one. (laughs)
Which is great because Rhea, the heroine, needs a warrior who can walk on the dark side of life.
Orol is certainly that type of being!
Dark Flight
His mission. His challenge. His forever.
Orol, the Refuge’s second-in-command, has been given what he believes is a simple mission—escort two human females to the settlement. The winged warrior arrives at the meeting site to find one of the females missing and the other aiming a gun at his head. To rescue the first, he must capture the second. Once he has Rhea in his talons, however, he realizes he never wants to let her go.

Rhea doesn’t trust anyone. She certainly doesn’t follow commands issued by a gorgeous flying male with glittering eyes, a beautiful face, and a seductive touch. Orol is dominant, edged with darkness, and determined to find her sister. Muse Food – Saddle Bronc Halters
As we wait for Raw Desires, the third story in the Cyborg Unity, to release (tonight if you’ve pre-ordered this story), I thought I’d distract myself by talking about saddle bronc halters.
Yep. (grins) Saddle bronc halters.
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I spotted this fantastic display of saddle bronc halters at South Point Casino in Vegas.
There were SO many of them.
And they all serve the same purpose. They serve as a means for the rider to hold onto the bucking horse (via a bronc rein that attaches to the halter).
Yet look at how different they are!
Whenever I worry about the cyborg warriors or the alien planets or the Humanoid Alliance baddies becoming too much alike, I can look at these saddle bronc halters and remind myself there are a gazillion ways to make them unique.
