When I was 16, I developed a funky kind of arthritis. My rheumatologist at the time told me I’d likely be in a wheelchair by the age of 30. I refused to believe that but I also planned for that possibility.
That meant I worked on my bucket list early. I had breakfast in Paris. I snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef. I ran a 5k. I told as many people as possible I loved them as often as possible. I saw Les Misérables on stage.
It was AWESOME and I highly recommend doing this, my friends. Start checking experiences off your bucket list now.

(Oh and my rheumatologist was wrong about me being in a wheelchair by the age of 30 but I don’t regret hearing that prediction. It pushed me to do more and to not take anything for granted.)
