As many reading buddies (big hugs) have noticed, my release schedule this year has been…relaxed. I guess that’s the word. (grins) Some reading buddies have expressed concern about this.
Seizing Power was the final book in one of the cyborg world’s big storylines. Many people, including myself, were waiting for Power’s book.
That story was so special and it took everything I had to craft it. This is true of many final books in storylines. They are emotionally challenging.
Many writers take a break before starting the next series.
I didn’t want to do that. Instead, I’m merely taking more time writing the new stories.
I’m traveling. I’m visiting with loved ones and family members. I’m puttering around the garden with the Dear Wonderful Hubby.
And I’m refilling my creative wells.
My slower release schedule will likely extend into 2023.
After that point, I hope to speed up again. Writing is a marathon, not a sprint. Writers have to pace themselves or they will become burned out. And being burned out is no fun for anyone.
