Grin And Bare Him, the second story in the Cyborg Unity series, is available for pre-ordering. I’ve tentatively set the release date for October.
It might release earlier.
That’s a big maybe.
Because book publishing is a team effort. I rely on my Awesome Editor, my Awesome Formatter, folks at the booksellers, etc. and we’re all dealing with everything that is happening all around us.
The pandemic, unfortunately, isn’t yet over. I have to put time to recover from possible future bouts of COVID into the schedule. Yeah. Setting a release date is a bit tricksy right now.

Provoking Odium And Levi-Lucas the Third
Levi-Lucas the Third, the Beings For Peace operative, makes a brief appearance in Provoking Odium.
We first met LLTT, as Briella calls him, in B Free. He was flamboyant and uptight but his heart was good and his mission to save being from the Humanoid Alliance was extremely noble.
Levi-Lucas the Third continues that quest in Provoking Odium. And yes, he is just as tightly wound as he was in B Free. (grins) As Briella states, he has “a stick the size of a support beam stuck up his a$$.”

Throwback Thursday – Choosing Chuckles
Chuckles is the grumpiest cyborg I’ve ever featured in a story.
He has a good reason for being grumpy. He is always in pain. One of his knees was deliberately mangled by the Humanoid Alliance and no one can repair it.
His grumpiness escalates, however, when he meets his genetic match. Bettina, aka Bait, is setting a trap for him. He realizes this yet he can’t not go to her.
These two are so much fun together. (grins) She exposes his caring side and I love that.
Choosing Chuckles
A Cynical Cyborg Meets A Bad, Bad Female.
Chuckles hates all humans. In the past, humans betrayed him. That treachery caused permanent damage to his muscular form, resulting in a lifespan of pain.
When the primitive D Model cyborg answers a distress call sent by a pink-and-blue haired, sparkly human female, he knows it’s a trap. He still has to respond to her fake cry for help. She belongs to him, is the one being genetically fabricated for him. But he plans to be her captor, not her captive.
Bettina, aka Bait, works with a team of females, snaring sexual predators in space, seizing their ships and transporting them to primitive planets. As soon as she speaks with Chuckles, she knows he’s not like the others. He has honor, is a being worthy of respect, of caring.
But she can’t let him go. She has to trap him. His dominance thrills her. His deep voice evokes desires she’d never experienced in the past. She’ll risk it all, breaking every rule for one wild encounter with the male she calls Sir.

Dresses For Briella
Briella, the human heroine of Provoking Odium, the first story in the Cyborg Unity series (releasing in June), always wears green. That was her much beloved Mom’s favorite color and she wears it in memory of her.
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I didn’t find many pure green gowns in Camille La Vie in New York. There were some beautiful bluish-green dresses, however.
Briella could hide her guns with this full skirt.
Briella, being a pilot, would love the navigational lines (grins) on this gown, with the horizontal bands as references.

Doing Things Not-So-Well
Briella, the human heroine of Provoking Odium, the first story in the Cyborg Unity series (releasing in June), is a terrible singer. She can’t hold a tune to save her lifespan. (grins)
But she LOVES to sing. It brings her joy. And she is often alone so there’s no one to hear her sing. She can rock the tunes and belt out the lyrics to her heart’s content.
I can’t sing either. I realize that. My voice is all over the place. But I also love to sing and, when I’m alone or with the Dear Wonderful Hubby, I do that…enthusiastically.
And stars, it gives me as much joy as it gives Briella.
Happiness is a gift. Do things that give you joy, my friends…even if you can’t do them well.

I continue to write the first draft of Grin And Bare Him, the second story in the series, and it is action-packed thus far. Grin and his humanoid heroine are so much fun together. And they have sizzling chemistry.

The Beings You Don’t Yet Know

Often I’ll start with the cyborg’s adventures. But, if you read Seizing Power, you know Odium quite well and you know how his story will start. You don’t yet know Briella, the freighter captain. You don’t know why she’s doing what she’s doing in Seizing Power.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Mercy
I have a thing for the bad boys, the heroes who might not be heroes in many people’s eyes, the males who live their lives by their own moral codes, their own rules.
Tolui, the hero of Warlord’s Mercy, is definitely one of those heroes. (grins) He wasn’t supposed to be a hero at all. I had envisioned him as the big baddie, the warrior the Warlord brothers would eventually defeat…permanently.
Tolui refused to die. He had a mission and, dang it, that mission was noble.
Then he met Lea, his fated mate, his gerel and I knew he needed his own story. He deserved happiness.
Other Chameles view him as the enemy.
She sees the warrior hero he never believed he could be.

Tolui is a Warlord in search of a planet to rule. He has been leading his fellow clones in a stealth battle, fighting for both control of the Chamele sector and the right to exist. The brave warriors he commands warrant respect, and they deserve the best.
That best isn’t the barren, dangerous terrain on Chamele 4. When Tolui crashes on that planet’s surface, he’s determined to leave it as soon as possible. The tiny human female rescuing him might be as beautiful and as wild as the land she inhabits, but her flowing words, trusting gaze, and enthralling submission won’t stop him from rejoining the war.
After many solar cycles of living alone, Lea is overjoyed when a tall, scarred, muscular warrior falls from the sky. Her savage stranger is strong and severe, and he makes her feel safe, an emotion she hasn’t experienced in a long, long time.
He also insists they must part. Before they do, she’ll show him the splendor of her home, and she’ll enjoy his big form, collecting passionate moments she can revisit when she’s solitary once more.
Every additional moment Lea and Tolui spend together increases the chance they’ll both die. Lea is being chased by female-hating fiends. Tolui is being hunted by the best bounty hunters in the universe. War will soon arrive on their threshold, and the blood spilled might be their own.
