Eirene Ours/Cadet, the heroine from Seizing Power (releasing in February), is a leader.
She was fortunate to have her parents, Ghost and Lethe, as mentors. Ghost isn’t a savvy communicator (grins) but he knows battle strategy. Lethe had mentors skilled in leaders to guide her. (Her mentors included including Carys, the heroine from Hers To Command.)
Eirene Ours has also learned leadership, what to do and what not to do, from research and from watching the footage saved in the cyborgs’ shared databases. Some of that footage was of Power.
Yes. (grins) Eirene Ours learned leadership from her opponent. She has also studied his battle tactics.
Power is about to be surprised and I can’t wait for that to happen! He needs something or someone to shake him out of his smugness. I suspect Eirene Ours will be that being.

Seizing Power
This cyborg believes he’s in control.
Power is the self-appointed leader of the cyborg council. Other members might debate situations. He makes the ultimate decisions.
When a threat to the Homeland is revealed, he takes command of a fleet and ventures to the edge of cyborg-controlled space to investigate. He finds a rebellion led by a mysterious upstart he calls Cadet.
