Seizing Power, the fifth core story in the Rebel Cyborgs series (releasing in February), is a clash of two factions – the Rebel Cyborgs situated on Mercury Minor and the Cyborg Council Cyborgs situated on the Cyborg Homeland.
Power and the Cyborg Council Cyborgs have the numbers. They have millions of warriors, all loyal (for now) to them. Power has reasons (other than arrogance) to not be concerned.
Cadet/Eirene Ours and the Rebel Cyborgs have the loyalty of the cyborgs they’ve rescued, some skilled humans and humanoids on their side, and alliances with the Retrievers and the Modified Humanoids. They also have favors they can call in and they have the advantage that they know almost everything about their opponents.
The two factions are both formidable. There will be no easy victories for either side.

Seizing Power
This cyborg believes he’s in control.
Power is the self-appointed leader of the cyborg council. Other members might debate situations. He makes the ultimate decisions.
When a threat to the Homeland is revealed, he takes command of a fleet and ventures to the edge of cyborg-controlled space to investigate. He finds a rebellion led by a mysterious upstart he calls Cadet.
