I often think of Dark Cure as the final story in the Refuge/Dark Thoughts series and the first story in the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series. The story officially resides with Dark Thoughts as it starts in the Refuge but it ends in the Chamele Sector.
Gisella, the heroine, is the Refuge’s Medic. She scares the sh*t out of many of the modified humanoids. (grins) They don’t mess with her.
Oghul, the heroine, however, can’t resist messing with her. She is his gerel, his fated mate. And he is determined to talk with her, touch her, claim her.
That doesn’t exactly go smoothly. (grins) But Oghul kind of likes that. He loves a challenge and Gisella is definitely that.
