Throwback Thursday – Doc’s Orders
A series about space exploration wouldn’t, unfortunately be complete without a story centering around the diseases newcomers might transfer to the often isolated local population. That has always been a terrible consequence of exploration.
Doc’s Orders is that story in the cyborg world. I wrote it before COVID and our own Earth-based pandemic. At the time, scientists believed Candida auris would likely become a pandemic (it still might become one) and that is what I roughly based the outbreak in Doc’s Orders on.
Doc’s Orders might be too…real for some readers. And that’s okay. Skip this story and read the next one in the series.
Doc’s Orders
She wants both sides of her cyborg—the medic AND the beast.
A fully functional cyborg is balanced. His machine half and his organic half work together to produce the perfect warrior.
Doc isn’t fully functional.
The G Model operates at the two extremes. When his machine is in complete control, he’s the logic-driven medic, saving lifespans. Once his organics take charge, he becomes the savage beast…and beings die.
Both sides of Doc want to be the first to claim his female.
Allinen is one of the few beings in her small settlement who wasn’t born with a fated mate. Determined to belong somewhere, she has crafted a plan to leave the planet.
That plan doesn’t involve a huge stormy-eyed male who alternates between cool seduction and out-of-control ravishment. Doc isn’t her fated mate. Allinen knows that. But his dual nature and forbidden embraces tempt her to forget forever and indulge in more immediate delights.
Neither side of Doc views their relationship as being temporary. Her conflicted cyborg is prepared to battle her family, her planet and death itself to keep her.

Throwback Thursday – Choosing Chuckles
If you love grumpy heroes, Chuckles is, by far, the grumpiest cyborg I’ve ever written.
He has been damaged. Permanently. And that not only causes him to be in constant pain but it also makes him question his self-worth.
He doesn’t want to be treated with pity so he growls at everyone around him.
Chuckles also secretly does very nice things for other beings. Because he is, at his core, a good being.
Bettina aka Bait is, at first glance, a very bad being. She traps beings seeking to rescue her. But usually those beings aren’t at all nice and they tend to deserve what she delivers to them.
Chuckles is the exception. To everything.
Choosing Chuckles
A Cynical Cyborg Meets A Bad, Bad Female.
Chuckles hates all humans. In the past, humans betrayed him. That treachery caused permanent damage to his muscular form, resulting in a lifespan of pain.
When the primitive D Model cyborg answers a distress call sent by a pink-and-blue haired, sparkly human female, he knows it’s a trap. He still has to respond to her fake cry for help. She belongs to him, is the one being genetically fabricated for him. But he plans to be her captor, not her captive.
Bettina, aka Bait, works with a team of females, snaring sexual predators in space, seizing their ships and transporting them to primitive planets. As soon as she speaks with Chuckles, she knows he’s not like the others. He has honor, is a being worthy of respect, of caring.
But she can’t let him go. She has to trap him. His dominance thrills her. His deep voice evokes desires she’d never experienced in the past. She’ll risk it all, breaking every rule for one wild encounter with the male she calls Sir.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Mercy

Throwback Thursday – The Cyborg’s Secret Baby
The Cyborg’s Secret Baby is a nod to the classic secret baby trope.
A couple (or more) has wild, we-might-die, last moment loving. One or all of the beings trek off to war. One of those beings has a baby and has no way of contacting the other being(s) still at war. The being at war returns and discovers they have a ‘secret’ baby.
Except Zebrina, the human heroine of The Cyborg’s Secret Baby, believes her cyborg warrior has died in battle. She doesn’t think he’ll ever return from war.
Stealth hasn’t died. He’s very much alive and, once he’s able to do so, he’s determined to reclaim his female…and the offspring he never processed they had.
The Cyborg’s Secret Baby
A fierce cyborg warrior and his curvy human female share a no-longer-so-little secret.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord Reunited
I haven’t written many second chance at love romances.
The reason for this is my heroes and heroines all fall in love at first sight or are fated to mate.
Because that’s the type of love I know. The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I fell in love at first sight and over two decades later, we’re still very much in love. (smiles)
Berke and Elle, the alien hero and human heroine of Warlord Reunited, are also fated mates. Berke recognizes Elle as his gerel immediately. She is the light to his darkness.
Then he sends her away. He has, he believes, a good reason for doing this. But, to ensure she stays away, he allows her to think he doesn’t care about her anymore.
This angers Elle as in she-wants-to-literally-kill-him levels of angry. And when she’s given a reason to return to Berke’s planet, she decides she’ll act on that fury.

Throwback Thursday – Taking Vengeance

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Bounty
Warlord’s Bounty was originally the first story in the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series. I found Khan to be extremely…inspiring. (grins) He’s the best fighter of the three warlord brothers. He’s very physical, a take action, think later type of alien male.
Zeta, his human gerel (fated mate), is also a physical being. She also prefers to take action.
And the action she plans to take is to capture Khan and trade him for the huge bounty on his warrior head.
Warlord’s Bounty
Wanted: One Barbarian Warrior.
The bigger the bounty, the more dangerous the target.
Khan, a Chamele Warlord, has a huge bounty on his head. His enemy wants him captured and is offering any being in the universe an outrageous number of credits to accomplish that.
Khan wants to be captured, but only if the being apprehending him is a tiny, brown-eyed female with wickedly sharp daggers and an even sharper tongue. His passion for the feisty human can’t be inhibited by restraints. He’ll allow her to subdue him…in a variety of enticing ways.
When she finally collects her credits, he’ll collect his revenge, killing his enemy and claiming his little bounty hunter forever.
Zeta doesn’t do forever. After a lifespan of chasing dangerous beings across galaxies, apprehending and trading them for credits, she doesn’t get involved emotionally…with anyone.
Khan might be fierce and sexy and the most dominant male she has ever encountered, but the barbarian is also her target, and once she sates herself with his body, she’ll betray him.
That’s her job.

Ghost is, without question, my most broken cyborg hero.
